Most of us are afraid of "that" man.

Dismissing our ideas,
Starting with a,
Nod, then a swipe of the pen,
Lastly a raised hand?
That fearful handshake.
Shake it and there's two possible outcomes.
Shake once,
"I'll be seeing you again".
Shake twice,
"Good luck with your journey".
Who gives him the right to dismiss us?
The authority to make us bugger off?
The no nonsense attitude towards us?

Because he's the man in the mirror.
