A repetition,
The pattering footsteps,
Counting the number of taps,
Her heart beats.
The delirious fumes,
Long tendrils snaking,
The steady rumble,
It approaches.
Strong and rebellious,
The gusts of smoke lashes,
The moisture builds up,
Broken is a bead of sweat.
Jostling and jarring,
Not understanding,
Emotions clouded,
A look of apathy.
