Renaissance

Fleming's tour to an over-sea continent,
For the ruins and remains none has forgotten.
Enthusiastic and enthralled by the not-so-magical means,
All that matters is the fabled golden mean.

Nimble fingers over the taut sixth string,
Flicking and picking.
Fingernails be trimmed prim and proper,
On one hand, not the other.

Bubbles in my blood,
Flowing, flowing, stuck.
A brick-sized blood truck,
Clamping with my eyes shut.

Do the walk of shame,
To cross the halls of fame.
Try  to understand,
This is not your game.

Blood Moon

The hound dogs howl to the weaning moon,
Shadows are a hunter's boon.
As the lunar eclipse overhead looms,
Black roses of the graveyards slowly blooms.

Children into men,
Persevere against solitude,
Return to gain gratitude.

At Any, A Time

The colours peeling from its very walls.
Shadows seeping into its shallow crevices.
The whitewashed panes of the past, tinted with grime.
Contradicting the laws of the past and the now.

Tissue Box

Set the bitterness aside, grasp what you can.
A new age looms across the horizon, a new path is to be made.
Actions and words, they speak for man;
Mystery and foes, it ends with suicide.

Spectral

I am not man, nor beast or creature.
I walk the Earth with a blight, as a scourge.
Cower before me, and lay down your swords;
For I will smite you, with my arms and my horde.

The destined shall succeed, and the latter; thy shall fall.

Limau (Orange)

Hello fellow readers! Here is another short (really short) stop motion animation I made.

It features a limau, a green skinned orange from the tropics.

21 Credits

I'm exhausted by the constant need to check up on myself to see if I'm 'okay'; to ask for help that I will not get.
I am enraged, but there is no anger to be had.
Just the soothing calmness that drapes over my eyes.
Enchanting and lulling me with lies.

Shavings of aged timber follows,
Boring and ruminating in malicious intents.

Fill Me Up

Tick,
Cruising along the lonely one way streets.
Tock,
Swerving to avoid the fallen signboard.

Tick,
A turning point up left.
Tock,
Bearing left into the rest stop.

Tick,
Sidling up to the pump, rapidly decreasing acceleration.
Tock,
Twist the ignition, killing the engine.

Tick,
Exit the machine, unlocking the compartment cover.
Tock,
Lifting the handle, directing the nozzle; squeezing down.

Flip, flip, flip, flip.
The numbers tumble increasingly, faster and faster.
Tick, tick, tick, tick,
The meter sounds, prolonged unceasingly.

Leash On

Frolicking amongst the pigeons in the square,
Racing down the open plains of Abedare.
Sniffing at bloodhounds at the track,
Wondering how they got there.

"Put a leash on!"
He said.

"Or else we're not going anywhere!"
They chimed in.

Behind Lenses

Photographs are a means of self gratification, taken to fill in the empty gap formed when an experience is unfulfilled.

For example, the closer a relationship you are with someone, the lesser photos you may take with them. For example parents and siblings.

We take photos of things we are afraid to let go, afraid to lose. In the form of photographs, we think that we set the moment in stone, but what we have actually done, is mutilated the experience. It is no longer complete.

If something/someone etc is important enough, taking photographs would spoil the atmosphere. It signifies that the other person/thing is not important enough, and that's why you need to take those photos to add value to their self worth.

Its depreciating and somewhat humiliating in an unspoken form of passive aggression.

Don't live life behind the lenses of a camera.

Its not worth sharing each unique experiences with everyone. Let others have a chance to experience their own adventures and wonders.

Its not your place to take it away from them.

Schlick schlak, schlick schlak;
The blade chomps down hard upon the board surface.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch;
Pieces fall away like unsolvable puzzles.

Shlysssshh, sploosh;
Moisture crackles on the underbelly of the skillet.
Frrrghhh, floopshhh;
Into it flames they go.

Siiiisssshhhhh, sharrrrshhh;
Steam floats loftily out of the steely cell.
Priyysshh, purrpssh;
Into the enamel laced ceramic pane it lays.

Slither

The soft touch on the fluffed up down blanket,
Smoothly gliding over her face.
A pillow squared and ready for use,
He pushes it over her head.

Initially there was only silence.
A game to play, she said in her head.
Seconds pass and she begins to wonder,
Will she ever rise from this bed again.

Weaving and whispers,
She called to him.
Uniformity and catastrophe,
He answered the calling.

Monochrome in a technicolour dream,
Abstracting and expunging distractions from what it seems,
Liquid light bends around the corners,
Liquid swords playing in the car next door.

Pushing back when shoved forward,
Momentum carries it forward and inertia makes it stick.
Mass and volume builds up speed,
Push the plunger all the way down for some speed.

Eyelids removed,
Lips sewn.
Monstrous oddity,
Unseen by the blind.

The all seeing seer,
Haggard and scarred combined.
Taste and texture are his eyes,
Sullen and sunken, those sockets beckoning to me.

Flesh chewed from the cheeks,
Lipids rendered till tepid.
Only the structure remained,
Along with our remains.

The Deep Freeze

Driving 20km towards the South, to see the fabled green tinged skies of the Southern Hemisphere.
There were no lights within a 5km radius, the only lights were from the headlamps of our car.
Cruising just under the limit, it was a breeze.
15 minutes top, we were from Point A to B.

A man signals us to stop.
Standing by an old Honda that was parked on the side of the open highway; like a beached whale.
Cautiously he approaches, shining a beam of unfiltered light at us.
Piercing through the dusty windshield, we were identified.

Pooling out of the car we slouched.
Faint chattering all around in the dark; an occasional moo and bleat was heard, but apart from that, it was dead.
I couldn't see what the fuss was about. No green tinge, red, or orange lights.
Expecting to see cascading waterfalls of charged particles whizzing about; I saw something else.

Overlooking upon us in the heavens above, a sight I have yet to see before.
The immense beauty charges through me like a nuclear aftermath, tingling my scalp and hair in my long balck ponytail.
Hellen Keller would have tickled us with peals of her excitement and joy, for the sights and eerily lack of sound was ethereal and somehow pleasing.
The trickle of uncoordinated blinking and the many particle galaxies upon the microcosmic universe; behold, the lack of sleep.

Fumbling and frowning in the darkness, I struggled to extract my DSLR.
To my surprise, and in its demise; the camera died on me.
Lugging around dead weight, the dude's best friend brought a dud.
Blemished and showing signs of scars, the battered grandpa had a great past.

Irritation turned to anger, which resolved to silence.
In mind, body, and kind.
An epiphany fell from the skies, landing on me; it crushed away the hopes and dreams, and brought reality.
A truce between you and me.

Or you'll lose more than those five digits.
