Stay In The Dark

Once

Away from the roots,
The leaves are strong.

Lithe,
Flexible,
Tough,
Elegant.

Panning downwards where the tree was born,
Weaknesses are evident and defeat stays prolonged.

Moist,
Earthy,
Pungent,
Rough.

Spreading fingers upon the ground,
Penetrating its dampness that seems rather profound.
Crawling with unseens the darkness looms,
The abrupt silence when the bud finally blooms.

Whats underneath every beauty never comes to light,
The inner workings of beauty should never;

Never,
Ever,
Come,
To.

Light.
