Sifting through
the piles,
Wandering
aimlessly amongst the aisles,
Searching for a
sign,
A face of
familiarity.
Pallid faces with monochrome edges peer at me,
Seductively
alluring my approach.
Taunting my
advances,
Mocking my
shameless retreats.
A scent wafts through the humid air,
Silky white
leaves,
Illustrious
browned pages,
A decadence.
Excerpts and randomly selected pages,
Sparkly covers and
dull monochrome spines.
Something by
someone,
Something for
everyone.
