Cashew King

The shy goods are awakening.
Raising their cloudy hackles,
Growling and sneering,
It's about to get ugly.

Tickle tickle,
Catch my fancy.
Flushed red like peonies,
Drooping like grannie's...

Path of Light

A child holds her lantern up high as she approaches the cave.

Soft warm light glinting off the still surfaces of the underground lake, casting a silhouette upon the great stalactites and stalactites that lay beyond the gloom.

In silence, she knelt gently beside the lapping waves. Cradling the piece of jade bestowed upon her, she slowly lowered it down beneath the steely cold damp.

Contact with the lake stopped time, transforming the entirety of darkness into...

Have a Little Faith

Might and magic,
Bites and logic,
Bacon wrapped mandrels,
Jack's tiny tendrils.

The flight of a bumblebee,
A definitive Yes! No! or Maybe?
Thousand yards of silken linen,
A lungful gasp of carcinogen.

What Does The Fox Say?

I've been spending copious amounts of time
Free time,
Break time,
Sleeping time,
Down time,
on crafting small wooden rings.

I have yet to feel compelled,
As I was or may have been before,
To write,
Expressing myself.

Where is the tingling rush?
The spine-chilling feeling,
When the words ring in my mind,
Flowing from my fingertips.

I no longer doodle,
Nor do I draw.
If its even considered drawing,
In the first place.

Altered,
I have been,

But what does the fox say?

Mushroom Power

Well there was once a mushroom who lived in a meadow.
He was brightly coloured and had a spotted cap.
Yellow and pink it was.
Fancy spittled dots.

Along came by a monkey.
He had purple coloured fangs.
Banana flavoured hair,
A lovely young lad.

Perched on the treetops,
There sat King George.
The Appalachian of the North,
The reigning ruler of his own nose.

George's cousin Julian,
Riding down to the farm.
"Forgive me cousin",
Was all he wrote.

Alright?

I'm alright,
With a crystal vial of clarity,
The mushrooms rise,
The kings of tides.

I've been conceived,
Once or twice,
Milady's month,
I'm alright.

Bike, Bake, Wash

I can't sleep.
"Its all in your head"
I can't sleep.
"Please, come with me to bed"

I can't sleep.
"I'm getting tired of this charade"
I can't sleep.
"Lie in bed and rest your neck"

I can't sleep.
"I'll end you, I swear"
I can't sleep.
"Calm down, it's okay"

I can't sleep.
"Get out of my sight"
I can't sleep.
"That's it, goodbye"
